Tenant Fees

At Movezone Property, we aim to make the rental process as straightforward and transparent as possible. We comply fully with the Tenant Fees Act 2019, which means you won’t be charged any hidden or unfair fees when renting through us.

Here’s a breakdown of the permitted fees we may charge:


Holding Deposit

One week's rent
This is taken to reserve a property and will be deducted from your first month’s rent. It may be withheld if you provide false or misleading information or withdraw from the tenancy.


Security Deposit

Equivalent to five weeks’ rent (for properties under £50,000 annual rent)
Held securely with the
Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) and returned at the end of the tenancy, subject to the condition of the property.


Rent

Payable monthly in advance as agreed in your tenancy agreement.


Permitted Charges During Your Tenancy

These may apply in specific situations:

Charge Cost Late Payment of Rent Interest at 3% above Bank of England base rate after 14 days overdue Lost Keys or Security Device Reasonable costs incurred for replacement Changes to Tenancy Agreement£50 incl. VAT Early Termination (At Tenant’s Request)Landlord’s reasonable costs (e.g. remaining rent or re-letting fee)

We do not charge fees for viewing a property, applying, or being referenced.
